Cleaning before checkout

Not included but can be booked for SEK 950 at least 1 week before arrival.
Cleaning supplies are in the apartment behind the sliding doors.
If cleaning is not booked, please send photos of the cleaned apartment to the host before departure. See the full cleaning and checkout instructions at the bottom of this page.

Bed Linen & Towels

Not included in the rental.
Bed linen (not towels, bed linen only) can be rented for SEK 150 per person. The bed linen is stored in a gray box in the apartment; the code will be sent after payment. Upon checkout, guests should fold the used bed linen and place it in the white box for used linen.

Wi-Fi

Network name: Backglantan 8
Password: See the information on the router located above the TV.

Parking

There is space for one (1) car right by the accommodation. Additional parking spaces are available just before the entrance to the red buildings, or by following the road behind the area where there is a larger parking lot near the slope.

Electric Car Chargers

The area Backgläntan has two (2) electric car chargers in the area.
Scan the QR code on the building with the chargers and follow the instructions to make payment and start charging.

Sonos lamp / speaker

Our Sonos lamp/speaker next to the sofa can be used to play music directly from your phone or tablet by following the instructions below:

1. Connect your phone to the apartment’s Wi-Fi

2. Open your music app and select the Sonos lamp/speaker via Cast/AirPlay

3. Play music directly from your device

4. If it doesn’t appear, close the app and try again

Avoid unplugging the speaker.

Sauna

The heater has two rotary knobs located on the short side facing the glass door.

The knob closest to the wall controls the temperature — set it to maximum for best results.

The knob closest to the seating area (on the right) starts the sauna.If you turn it past the clock symbol, the timer will activate and the sauna will start later.

It takes about 45 minutes for the sauna to heat up.

You can pour water over the stones to increase steam and humidity.

Ethanol Fireplace

Use only ethanol fuel intended for fireplaces without a chimney.

Available at Kungsberget shop (during winter), grocery stores, or at Biltema / Clas Ohlson.

A yellow funnel for refilling is on the shelf behind the sliding doors, to the left of the washing machine. Ethanol evaporates over time – use sparingly.

Refill, light with a lighter, and close with the tool when finished.

Dishwasher

For the dishwasher to work, the water lock (a small tap located on top of the kitchen faucet by the sink) must be open, meaning pulled out and not pushed in.

If it’s not open, error code E02 will appear.

Please check this before starting the dishwasher and before leaving the apartment.

Lights & Lighting

The lamps above the dining table and coffee table have a dimmer function.
Hold down the buttons to adjust the brightness to your desired level.

Sofa bed (pull-out)

• Remove all the pillows

• Lift the front handle of the sofa base, pull the base forward, and then fold down the backrest into a flat position.

Air ventilation

To the right of the entrance door, there is a rotary knob that controls the ventilation. Do not turn it below three dots.

TV & Chromecast

Both of our TVs have built-in Chromecast:

• Connect to the apartment’s Wi-Fi

• Select the device you want to stream to

Netflix: It is not possible to stream via Chromecast unless you first sign in to Netflix on the TV.

• Open the Netflix app on the TV

• Select Sign in

• Sign in to your Netflix account using your phone

• The TV will confirm that Netflix is signed in

Remember to sign out of Netflix on the TV before you check out of the apartment.

Grocery store & shopping

In winter, there is a small shop in the Kungsberget area (open daily from 18/12/2025 – 6/4/2026).

During the rest of the year, the nearest store is in Järbo, about a 10-minute drive from the apartment.

For larger shopping, you can visit Sandviken (about 25 minutes from the apartment) or Valbo (about 35 minutes from the apartment).

How to get here

The address is Alanittislingan 23d, but the building itself should not display number 23 — it shows number 8.

Follow signs to Kungsberget, then to Backgläntan – Kungsberget Västra area (the last entrance off the main road after SkiLodge). The apartment is located at Backgläntan 8, the second building on the right when turning onto the street. The apartment is on the upper floor (above apartment number 7) and is the door on the left at the top of the stairs.
